Daily Mass Readings for December 01, 2024: Gospel — Lc 21, 25-28. 34-36

1 ⁴ “I, the Lord, affirm: ‘The time will certainly come when I will fulfill my gracious promise concerning the nations of Israel and Judah. 1 ⁵ In those days and at that time I will raise up for them a righteous descendant of David.“‘He will do what is just and right in the land. 1 ⁶ Under his rule Judah will enjoy safety and Jerusalem will live in security. At that time Jerusalem will be called “The Lord has provided us with justice.”

1 ² And may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another and for all, just as we do for you, 1 ³ so that your hearts are strengthened in holiness to be blameless before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints. 4 :¹ Finally then, brothers and sisters, we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus, that as you received instruction from us about how you must live and please God (as you are in fact living) that you do so more and more. ² For you know what commands we gave you through the Lord Jesus.
